“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5, 6. (NKJV).
“I have the puzzle pieces on the table. Let’s get started.” Grandfather pulled up his chair, began to sort.
“Okay. First, find the corners, complete the edges, and then fill it in.” Timmy chewed on his bottom lip.
“Five hundred fifty pieces makes it hard but I like the American flag in the background and the American Eagle.” Timmy propped the box to reveal the picture.
“Two hours working on this is enough for tonight, son." We can continue tomorrow.” Timmy’s shoulders slumped.
"Okay. Night, Grandfather."
The next evening Timmy slid pieces around with his finger. “Some are missing. Don’t see the colors for the eagle’s eye.”
“You’re right. That’s a puzzle, isn’t it?” Timmy rolled his eyes.
“Funny, Grandfather.” Timmy shook the box, then searched under the table. “Now we won’t be able to see the whole picture.”
“Amazing, isn’t it, son? We trusted the maker of the puzzle to have the parts included.” Timmy tilted his head. “But we find it difficult to trust in the Lord.”

“But I can see the puzzle, touch the pieces,” Timmy said.
“That’s where trust comes in, son." Grandfather smiled. "Trust is when I choose to believe the Lord and not try to understand His ways. I’ll admit it’s not easy.
“We put the puzzle together, and did it correctly.” He winked at Timmy. “Not like when you were a little guy and tried to force pieces where they didn’t fit.
“By the way. Is this what you were looking for?” He pulled something from his shirt pocket.
“The missing pieces.” Timmy grinned. “Just when we need them.”
Grandfather chuckled. “Trusting is hard unless—“ Grandfather quirked his eyebrow.
“Unless I know the Lord has all the pieces of the puzzle?”
“Absolutely, son. Now let’s complete this puzzle.”
Kingdom Thinking. Like Timmy, I want to see the Lord working. But the Creator knows all the parts of my life. To Him, there’s no puzzle. He wants me to trust Him. Easy? No. But I trust Him because He loves me and will never leave me. He loves you, too. Won’t you come to Him?
