AS WHITE AS SNOW!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9  (NKJV)

Timmy eyed the two-by-four stretched across the pool of green slime. Two piglets wallowed nearby.

“You can’t come across. You’re too scared.” Hands flapping under his armpits, "Squawk. Squawk." Joey grinned.

"Just watch me.” Timmy stepped onto the board, balancing with his
arms. At midpoint, the board rocked, then stilled.

Two more steps. He pushed his foot against the board to jump to safety. It slid from its mooring. He windmilled before splatting into the green goo.

“Yuck. You're in trouble now. I'll get grandfather.” Joey made a beeline for the house.

Green slime dripped from his fingers as he lifted his hand. Slipping, including a few falls, he sloshed his way to dry land. He plopped down, looked at his new shoes.  Ruined.

“Come on, son.” Grandfather jogged up, holding a large towel in his hands. “Nothing a good cleaning won’t take care of.”

“Eww. You stink.” Joey held his nose.

Grandfather’s eyes crinkled. “We’re all stink to high heaven. Yes, even you.” Joey pulled a face.

“There. A bath does wonders. You’d never know you fell into the pig parlor pool,” Grandfather grinned.

“Grandfather, you said we all stink? I didn’t fall in like Timmy.”

“We all fall into the pig pen, Joey, whether we plan to or not. It’s our nature. So the Lord Jesus came, took our place. He’s the only One who can get rid of the smell. He washes us as white as snow...”

“But how if I fall in again?” Timmy’s eyebrow puckered.

“You confess it to our Lord. You’re His. He’ll clean you up.”

“Like you did, Grandfather?”

"Absolutely. The Lord Jesus cleanses us from all sin. When He says all, He means all."

"Amazing," Timmy said.

"Indeed," Grandfather smiled. "As white as snow."

Kingdom Thinking. During this difficult time of unrest, it’s easy to splat into the pond of despair. The Lord Jesus rescues me--He’s my Savior! He makes me as white as snow. He promises never to leave me and to love me with an everlasting love. He loves you, too. Won’t you choose Him?
