“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, From the wicked who oppress me, From my deadly enemies who surround me.” Psalms 17:8-9. (NKJV).
“I’m so ugly, Grandfather.” Cing bit her lip, tears filling her eyes.
“Who told you such nonsense?”
She looked at her reflection in the hall mirror. “I can see and everybody thinks so.”
“Did you hurt someone's feelings?” She shook her head. “Talk out of turn?” Another head shake.
“What is this really about?” Grandfather knelt, took her hand.
“Cause--cause I have freckles.” She lifted her face. “Everywhere.” She flung her arms around Grandfather.
“But I love your freckles. Your grandmother has freckles. That’s why I married her. Freckles show that you’re not perfect. Well, almost.” Fingers under her chin, he inspected her face.
“You’re supposed to say that. You’re my grandfather.”
“Hold on a sec.” Grandfather slipped on his overcoat. “Okay. Step this way.” He tucked her inside. “If someone comes in, who do they see?”
“You. I’m hidden.”
“Exactly. But you're alive? Able to think for yourself?”
“'Course. I’m still me. You’re funny, Grandfather.” She giggled.

"Remember when you asked the Lord Jesus into your heart?" She nodded.
"He tucked you under the shadow of His wings. You're hidden safely in the Lord Jesus. Forever!" A gasp sounded in the overcoat, then out peeked a freckled face.
"Oh, Grandfather. That's the best news ever!" Grandfather grinned.
"Agreed." He gathered her in his arms.
Kingdom Thinking. The Lord Jesus promises to provide and never forsake me. He loves me with an everlasting love. He sees my problems as opportunities to show He can handle them. He offers the same to you. Look into the mirror, who do you see? He’ll hide you under His wings. Won’t you come to Him?
