POWER SOURCE

In Matthew 28:18-20, we read: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

“Grandfather, I’m scared. My room’s dark and the light won’t come on.”

Flashlight in hand, Grandfather came in. “Let me see. Ah, your lamp’s not plugged in.” He handed Timmy the end of the lamp cord. “Plug this into the socket for me." He spotlighted the outlet with his flashlight.

Timmy nodded, reached to the wall, plugged in the lamp. "Okay. Got it.” But  darkness ruled.

“Humph. Light bulb's probably burned out. Hand me a new one, please.”

The bulb replaced, Grandfather turned the switch. No light. “Something's wrong. Need to check the electrical box." Timmy followed Grandfather to the utility room. He opened the electrical box, looked at the panel.

"Aha, here's the problem." He flipped the switch."Now. Let's try again." Timmy ran ahead of Grandfather to his room. He waited for Grandfather who reached over and turned the switch.

“Light. Sure is good to see, Grandfather. Thank you.” Grandfather hugged him.

Because the outlet looks like a power source doesn’t make it powerful. Fakes abound. The Lord Jesus said all power was given unto Him--in heaven and earth. Therefore He admonishes us to go and teach in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teaching then to observe all things that He has commanded. Then He adds that He, the Power Source, is with us always. Even to the end of the world. He promised and He keeps His promises.

Kingdom Thinking. Believing in the Lord Jesus is the bottom line. He is our never ending Power Source. He promises never to leave nor forsake us for He loves us with an everlasting love. Won't you believe in Him? He waits for you.
