QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS!

In John 17:20, we read: “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.”

“Morning, Grandfather.” Timmy plopped on the stool, propped his chin on his hand.

“Have something on your mind?” Timmy nodded.

“Sam told me there’s no God. He said somebody made the whole thing up.”

Grandfather removed his glasses. “What do you think?”

“I thought I knew. Now I’m not sure.”

Grandfather leaned back in his chair. “Want to hear a story?” Timmy nodded.

“The boy was about your age with the same questions. He decided he would go to his secret place in the woods--his thinking place. A rabbit ran across his path. Then he watched a squirrel run up a tree, a nut in his mouth. Before he knew it, rays of the sunlight slipped behind the trees. Still he had no answer.

He noticed a glowing light creating a pathway. He’d go that way home. As he neared the light, he heard a voice.

“I know you.” He looked around, didn’t see anyone. “You are mine. Trust me.” Then he saw Him, but especially the hands--nail-pierced.

“You’re real.” The man in shining white nodded. The boy fell at his feet. Timmy sat up straight.

“Grandfather, were you that boy?” Grandfather smiled, a tear trickled down his face.

Kingdom Thinking. It’s difficult to fathom the depth of the love of the Lord Jesus. He prayed for me before He was arrested in the garden. Before He was crucified and rose from the dead. He loves me and promises never to leave nor forsake me. He loves you. Won’t you come to Him?
