In Jeremiah 33:9, we read: “Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.”
She had received a call from her father. Her mother had taken a turn for the worst. Could she make arrangements to leave immediately?
Flights changed, goodbye’s said, she boarded the plane in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and arrived in Miami in the late evening. A layover of seven hours was the best that could be done to connect her to Columbia, S. C.
She opened her wallet. Empty. She had used the last of her cash. She would have to sit in the waiting area until her connecting flight.
She squirmed, rearranged her purse...all to no avail. Finally she gave up. She prayed, then she remembered. She yanked open her purse, unzipped the compartment in the side and they they were. Several hundred dollars in traveler’s checks. She was able to book a room and get some rest before her flight left.
I have a severe learning disability. I forget the promises of our Lord Jesus. He has promised if I praise Him and honor Him before all the nations and they hear all the good that He has done for me, they will fear and tremble for all the goodness of His provisions. The world is watching, has been since the days when the Children of Israel were traveling through the desert...even before. The world watches today.
I need to remember His promises. Reading and studying His Word strengthens and encourages me no matter the circumstances. His promises that never fail. His mercies are fresh every morning. For He has promised never to leave not forsake me.
Kingdom Thinking. I never know who is watching. I must so live that my life reflects the love of my Lord and Savior. The power is His as He loves in and through me. He loves you with an everlasting love. He has promised never to leave nor forsake you. Won’t you come to Him. He waits for you.
